What Pavilion knows about you.

In plain English, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody. This covers the browser game, the Roblox game, this website and Pavilion's posting tool.

The short version

Pavilion never asks for an email address, an age, a location, a real name, a photograph or a contact detail. It keeps cricket scores and as little else as it can.

The browser game

At pavilioncc.com/play. Full details, and the button to delete your data, are on Privacy & your data inside the game.

  • A random code made on your device the first time you play. It isn't your name, email, phone number or Roblox account, and we can't work out who you are from it.
  • Your innings: runs, balls, wickets and how each ball went, with the time you played. This makes the boards work and helps us improve the game.
  • Rough details: the country your connection comes from, the kind of device, and which link brought you to the game.
  • Your nickname, if you pick one: it shows next to your results on public boards and in clubhouses you join. Please don't use your real name. Anyone can report a nickname from a board, and we hide any that break the rules.
  • Your first minute: opened the game, faced a ball, finished an innings, came back another day. This shows us where the game is confusing.

Innings and first-minute steps are deleted automatically after about 13 months. You can delete yours at any time from the game.

What we never keep

  • No real names, emails, phone numbers, photos or exact location.
  • No chat and no messages.
  • No advertising trackers and no cookies for ads.
  • Nothing is sold, shared or passed to advertisers.

The Roblox game

Pavilion on Roblox holds your Roblox user ID and display name (supplied by Roblox), your cricket record, your debut and membership numbers, leaderboard entries, and anonymous gameplay counts. Payments are handled entirely by Roblox: Pavilion never sees a card or billing details.

To have a Roblox record deleted, the request comes through Roblox, which verifies who is asking. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian to make it. One command then removes the whole record. Numbers are never reused.

This website

No cookies, no forms and no sign-up. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, which works without cookies and without identifying you. The only other outside connection is Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces.

Your player page. The website and the game share pavilioncc.com, so the website can read what the game saved on your device (your random code, nickname, clubhouses and recent innings) to show your player page and where you stand tonight. It stays on your device. The only thing sent is the same random code the game already uses to fetch your place on a board.

Your team. If you pick a team on the website, it's saved on your device only, to put their match nights first.

Match-night alerts, if you turn them on. We keep your browser's push address and keys, which alerts you chose and your time zone, so we can send them. Nothing else, and nothing that says who you are. Turning alerts off deletes them.

Pavilion's posting tool, and YouTube

Pavilion uses a small posting tool, Pavilion Poster, to publish Pavilion's own videos and pictures to Pavilion's own accounts on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. It is used only by Pavilion's owner. Nobody else signs in to it, and it never posts to anyone else's account.

Pavilion Poster uses YouTube API Services. By using it, the user agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

What it accesses: only the Pavilion YouTube channel's own details (its name and ID, and the list of videos it has uploaded) and the permission to upload videos and thumbnails to that channel. It does not read, collect or store anything about viewers, subscribers or commenters, and it serves no ads.

What it stores: one sign-in token for the Pavilion channel, kept privately by Pavilion and never shared. The videos, titles and descriptions it uploads are Pavilion's own. Nothing is stored on your device and the tool uses no cookies.

Sharing: none. YouTube data is not sold, shared or passed to anyone.

Revoking access and deletion: the account owner can remove Pavilion Poster's access at any time at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. When access is removed, Pavilion deletes the stored token within 7 days. Questions or complaints: hello@pavilioncc.com.

Being straight about what this is

This is a plain statement of what Pavilion actually does, written by the person who built it. It is not a lawyer-drafted policy and it is not legal advice. If anything changes, this page is rewritten first and the date at the top is updated.
